How to play Fruit Slash

Fruit is thrown up from the bottom of the screen. Swipe through it with your finger, or drag with the mouse held down, to slice it in two. Each fruit is worth a point. The blade only cuts when it is moving fast, so swipe, do not just touch.

You have three lives, shown as crosses in the top corner. You lose one each time a whole fruit falls back down without being sliced, and each time you slice a bomb. Bombs are black with a lit fuse and a red cross. When all three lives are gone, the game is over.

Scoring

1 point for each fruit you slice.
Combos: slice three or more fruits in one swipe and you get a bonus point for each of them.
Golden fruit: the rare glowing ones are worth 10 points.

Tips

Wait for fruit to bunch up near the top of its flight, then slice them all in one long swipe.
Bombs fly in among the fruit. Curve your swipe around them, or let a fruit go rather than risk the bomb.
The game speeds up as it goes on: more fruit at once, thrown more often, with more bombs.
Keep your swipes short and quick when the screen is busy.
