How to play Brick Breaker
Move the paddle to keep the ball in play and bounce it into the bricks. Where the ball hits the paddle sets the angle: hit it with the edge to send it sideways. Clear every breakable brick to finish the level. You have three lives.
- Numbered bricks take several hits.
- Grey steel bricks cannot be broken. Bounce around them.
Power-ups
- ↔ Wide paddle: a much bigger paddle for 14 seconds.
- ⁂ Multi-ball: splits each ball into three.
- ✹ Fireball: smashes straight through bricks for 8 seconds.
- ⇡ Laser: your paddle fires at the bricks above.
- ◔ Slow ball: slows the ball down for 10 seconds.
- ♥ Extra life: up to five lives.

Tips
- Aim for gaps near the top. Once the ball gets above the bricks it clears them from behind.
- Catch power-ups, but never chase one if it means losing the ball.
- The ball speeds up on later levels, so keep the paddle near the middle.

How many levels are there?
The first eight are hand-designed. After that, new levels are generated forever and keep getting tougher.
Is this Breakout or Arkanoid?
It is our own game in the same classic genre, with its own levels and power-ups.
