How to play Monster Trials 3D
Get your monster truck from the start to the chequered finish arch. The truck uses real physics: each wheel has its own suspension spring, so it bounces, tips and grips like a real off-roader. The first course is a warm-up; after that each course is longer and adds new obstacles:
- Ramps and gaps: hit them fast or you drop into the pit.
- Island jumps: land on a small island and launch straight off it again.
- Mega jumps: a downhill run-up, a big kicker and a long flight.
- Cliff drops: fly off the lip level or you land on your roof.
- Rock walls and climbs: steep faces that need momentum, not just power.
- Ice (pale blue): almost no grip, so brake early and do not spin the wheels on climbs.
- Mud (dark brown): drags the wheels and steals your speed.
The run ends if the driver's helmet hits the ground, if you fall into a gap, or if the truck ends up stuck on its nose, side or roof.

Stars, flips and levels
Finish a course to unlock the next one. Each course has a 3-star time; finish within 30% of it for two stars. Two things cut your final time:
- every coin you grab takes 0.5 seconds off, and many hang in the air above jumps;
- every full flip you land takes one second off.
Three stars on the later courses need a fast, clean run with most of the coins.
Driving tips
- Feather the gas on climbs. Full throttle on a steep hill lifts the front wheels and can tip you over backwards. Ease off when the nose comes up.
- Hit ramps at full speed. Gaps on later courses need almost top speed to clear.
- Match the slope when landing. Use Gas and Brake in the air to tilt the truck so both wheels touch down together, parallel to the ground.
- Slow down before valleys. Racing into a deep dip at top speed can bury the nose in the far side.
- Go slowly over rock steps. Let the suspension soak up each step instead of bouncing off it.
- On ice, tap the gas. Spinning wheels go nowhere. Gentle throttle keeps grip.
- Take cliffs with speed. Rolling off a cliff slowly tips the nose straight down.

How many levels are there?
There are ten courses. The first is a gentle warm-up; by the last you face mega jumps, island hops, cliff drops, ice and mud on a course over 500 metres long.
Is Monster Trials 3D hard?
The first course is a friendly warm-up, but it gets tough quickly. The later courses punish slow ramps and nose-first landings, and three stars need an almost perfect run with most of the coins.
How do I do a flip?
Hit a ramp fast, then hold Gas in the air for a backflip or Brake for a frontflip. Let go in time to level out before you land.
